One Simple Truth
Over time there should be a smaller gap between what we WANT to say and what we SHOULD say.

Scripture
Psalm 19:14 ‭ESV‬‬ (Read the Full Chapter Here)
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

As the Holy Spirit works in us one of the things that is affected is our speech. We have a heart to not only be more careful with the type of language we use, but also the content of what we’re speaking about. This requires effort. It requires us intercepting maybe what we WANT to say and applying God’s Word, so that what comes out of our mouth is something that we SHOULD say. The deeper work is that over time there is a smaller gap between what we WANT to say and what we SHOULD say; that not only the words of our mouth, but even the meditation of our heart is pleasing in the Lord’s sight.

Prayer
Lord, I truly love You. I care not only about what comes out of my mouth, but what is dwelling in my heart. Help my words and my thoughts be pleasing to You today. In Jesus name, amen.
