He’s Worth It

One Simple Truth
Jesus is worth it.

and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver.

Judas had decided in his heart and mind that there was a price in which he was willing to betray Jesus. The price was 30 pieces of silver. Our best estimate of that value by today’s standard is $100-$400. This seems insane, but if we’re honest, there are those of us that have set our own price in which we are willing to denounce the Lord. For some the price is a relationship, or an opportunity, or popularity, or yes, even money. This is the heart of Jesus’ words in Mark 8, “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” On the contrary, we are called to follow the Lord no matter the cost. Jesus is worth it.

Prayer
Lord, I will follow You no matter the cost. There is no price that can be offered to me today to turn my back on You. Give me strength. In Jesus name, amen.
